The BHL Series has been especially designed for small Hotels, Marinas and Waterfront Homes with access to salt or brackish water. The high power efficiency, ultimate reliability and low maintenance cost of these desalination systems makes high quality fresh water in most cases more economical than municipal water where available. The newly engineered marine aluminum frame provides a tidy appearance while allowing easy access to the systems components for maintenance. The modular bulkhead mount systems or the self-contained vertical framed systems are space saving and easy to install. For freshwater capacities of 3600 GPD/13,600 Liters or 10,000 GPD/38,000 Liters/day, the installation of two redundant operative BHL desalination units (dual) is the preferred choice. More economical than a single large system, it provides back up, eases transport, installation and reduces the electrical start up load by 35%. Therefore, similar to rainwater, using RO product requires significantly more freshwater to rinse off soap, shampoo and other detergents. ECHOTec is the first watermaker manufacturer to combat this problem by improving the RO product quality with a standard supplied post treatment system. The newly developed mineral dispenser returns some hardness to the water and offers a practical, low maintenance solution that saves up to 50% fresh water. The ECHOTec post treatment element also contains a mixture of minerals that returns bicarbonate alkalinity, correcting pH only enough to reach a neutral equilibrium. This dramatically reduces corrosion on metal tanks, boilers, washing machines and plumbing due to acidic product water. As the water is slightly re-mineralized, this will also improve the taste of the product water.
